At About Minds, our fees adhere to the recommended fees outlined by the Australian Psychological Society (APS), ensuring that our clients are only required to pay a modest gap payment. We do not offer bulk billing. The fee for a standard 50-minute consultation is $190, and a referral is not necessary unless you intend to claim a Medicare rebate.

If you obtain a referral from your General Practitioner (GP), you may receive up to ten sessions per calendar year. Usually, referrals are for six sessions, and it is essential to return to your GP for additional referrals or reviews following the 6th and 10th sessions.

When you have a referral from your GP, you are eligible for a $98.95 rebate for each session. Please note that you will be required to pay the session fee upfront and then claim the rebate from Medicare, as we do not process rebates at About Minds.
